The Canada Cricket Team for Men got the status of Associate ODI team by ICC in 1968. The Canadian team participated in four one-day international World Cups in 1979, 2003, 2007 and 2011. They played their first one-day international against Pakistan at Headingley, Leeds on 9 June 1979.
