Rohit Sharma and Shubam Gill honestly played the match very well and scored 147 runs. Their firm partnership didn’t allow the Nepal bowlers to even get any wicket. This allowed India to secure their position in the next round.

Contrarily, Nepal team’s fans also had chance to be happy during the same event. Especially, during the game of Aasif Sheikh as he scored 50 runs which helped the match to run smoothly. Kushal Bhurtel’s few powerful hits also helped Aasif to step up his performance. Nepali fans in the stands became excited when Aasif scored a half century in 88 balls in 28th over.

In addition, Nepali music was also played in the ground which added to the fun of fans party. Rohit Paudel lead his team which scored a total of 230 bearing ups and downs during match. Gill also hit Kami, three consecutive fours before the rain.

The party didn’t last long even though Rohit from Nepal team made a strong start after a long break due to rain. The ball was quickly hit by him in different directions, scoring 50 scores in 39 balls. Rohit and Gill summed up the game securing all the wickets. On the other hand, 17 balls were remaining.

Excited Nepal Team

Moreover, in the first five overs Kohli, Ishan and Shreyas missed three catches giving Nepal a chance to win. Nepali players confidently played the pacers and hit shots behind the wicket. Bhurtel after gaining two chances played aggressively against India. Bhurtel hit Mohammed Siraj and the ball went out of the ground. Siraj once again, repeated the mistake and allowed opponents to score a lot of runs.

Versatile player Shardul Thakur got India an early wicket in the last over of the powerplay. He didn’t perform well during his four overs. Whereas, Aasif played with determination, which was also needed during their first match in the Asia Cup against Pakistan in Multan Stadium. Using an old ball Siraj attacked again on Aasif to take his wicket for 58 runs on 97 balls.

Jadeja and Yadav the two left-arm spinners of India teamed up to gain control. Jadeja had a difficult time getting away with his spinning skills. He gave 40 runs away and took three wickets in his ten overs. Nepal hit Jadeja a boundary off in his eighth over. Kuldeep didn’t take many wickets in this match but he played as economical as Jadeja proved to be.

Nepal Batting

Kami and Airee tried to compete India’s experts by hitting 48 runs on 56 balls and 29 runs on 25 balls vice versa. Kami hit the balls specially from Pandeya and Siraj.

As a result, India won the match by 10 wickets (DLS).
