The cricket ground has undergone many refurbishments. The stadium was refurbished with floodlights in 2007. Furthermore, in 2012, media facilities were upgraded. In addition, the stadium underwent a grand renovation in 2017. The new floodlights were installed. Also, LEDs were installed in the scoreboard to reduce the consumption of electricity.

Moreover, according to Timelive, the administration spent R27 million on floodlights and R37 million on other renovations, including a new drainage system and scoreboard.
