Pakistan will play today against Bangladesh in their hometown, Gaddafi Cricket Stadium, Lahore. The match will start around 2:30 pm (10 am BST).
This will be the opening match of the Super Four of Asia Cup, 2023. Out of the total six groups playing in Asia Cup this year, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India qualified in Super Fours.
Pakistan has already beaten Nepal in their first match of Asia Cup 2023 by a huge margin of 238 scores. Iftikhar and Babar scored centuries while Shadab succeeded in getting four wickets. All of them performed well to secure this position. The same gameplay was presented in the match against their rival India where the pacers sent four Indian batsmen to the pavilion for only 66 runs. Rains have proved crucial in two matches.
On the other hand, Bangladesh had a bad start as they scored only 164 runs and lost all the wickets against Sri Lanka. Shakib tried hard to troublesome Sri Lankan batsmen to score runs but they lost by five wickets in 11 overs. Mehdi and Najmul Hossain scored centuries to win against Afghanistan. Team Afghanistan tried to chase a high score of 335 but all of them were out at 245.
As far as the pitch at Lahore Gaddafi Stadium is concerned, it has been a really good venue for batters. Bowlers often face difficulty prohibiting the opponents to score runs. As happened, in the most recent match when Sri Lanka scored 291 runs in 50 overs. Afghanistan was able to score only 37 runs in 37.5 overs. It shows the pitch has been difficult to play.

Probable Best Performers
Babar Azam, the captain is well known for his consistency. If he sticks to the pitch, it will be difficult for Bangladesh to stand against him. Additionally, Babar is from Lahore and knows this ground well which will be also a plus point for other batsmen to show their skills. Bangladesh will try hard to get his wicket.
Shaheen Afridi has shown his skills in Pak vs. India match taking the wickets of their most skillful players i.e., Rohit and Kohli. So, this left-arm pacer will be difficult to handle by Bangladesh batters.
If Pakistan wins the Toss and bowl;
Bangladesh might score 250-270 runs
Contrarily, if Bangladesh wins the Toss and bowl;
Bangladesh might score 270-290 runs
In both cases, most probably Pakistan will win
