Who Won New Zealand Vs South Africa 32nd Match of World Cup 2023 – 01 Nov Match Performance, Scores Updates

An exciting and thrilling 32-match ICC World Cup 2023 took place between New Zealand and South Africa at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, India on November 01, 2023.

New Zealand elected to bowl first after winning the toss. South Africa gave them the target of 357 runs to chase. But unluckily, the South African team could not score half of the target. All players were dismissed at 167. South Africa showed his wonderful batting strength and won the match by 190 runs. Rassie van der Dussen singly scored 133 runs off 118 balls and was announced as the Player of the Match.

The South African team made their appearance outstanding. Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen completed their centuries brilliantly. Moreover, Keshav Maharaj took a four-wicket haul.

The loss from the Australian team was heartbreaking for New Zealand and this one is also disappointing. The South Africa team scored 357 runs and in the last 10 overs, they brought the runs 119. They lost just four wickets. As a result, the New Zealand team scored only 167 runs and all players went back to the pavilion. Glenn Phillips was the only player who scored 60 runs in 50 deliveries.

In the first innings, Quinton de Kock gave a remarkable start. He singly hit three sixes and made 10 boundaries. Additionally, Temba Bavuma made 24 runs off 28 balls and went back from the crease by Boult. After that, de Kock and Rassie built a brilliant partnership between them and led the score to 238 runs. The next wicket of de Kock was taken by Southee.  Rassie made nine fours and five sixes. The third wicket of South Africa was grabbed by Southee and Rassie was out on by clearly bowled.

David Miller made a fast century off 30 balls and unluckily the last wicket of the inning fell at the 2nd last ball and David Miller went back. Aiden Markram gave a good finish to hit six.

32nd match, New Zealand bowling

When the 2nd inning started, the New Zealand team faced troubles. The very first wicket fell on just 8 runs in the third over. Will Young also scored just 33 runs off 37 balls. The South African bowlers did bowling brilliantly. Daryl Mitchell scored 24 runs. Moreover, the first five wickets of the New Zealand team fell at just 90 runs and 18.3 overs. With time it became harder to achieve the target. Thus, the New Zealand team scored only 167 runs after facing outstanding bowling.

They could play only 35.3 overs. In addition, Jansen took three wickets and Keshav Maharaj fell four wickets. Coetzee also took 2 wickets and Rabada took just 1.
